I’m Erica, and I would like to thank you for stopping by and reading my blog! I first started this blog when I was training for the Chicago Marathon in Fall 2013, but things were changing and it was time for some spring (er, fall) -cleaning.
I graduated in Spring of 2015 from Missouri Baptist University with my Bachelor’s of Science degree with a major in Health Science and minors in Exercise Science and Psychology. I had an idea of where I thought my life would go, but God had a different plan.
After graduating college, I became a house aide at The Sparrow’s Nest Maternity Home (check it out: http://www.thesparrowsneststl.org/). After reconstructing our organization, I became the first House Manager. I am no longer part of the Sparrow team, but being part of Sparrow was been such a blessing, and I would love to share more about it with you!
I am now married to the man of my dreams and am a stay at home dog mom! Besides writing for this blog, I spend as much time outside as possible and training for various exercise endeavors.
Here are a few things to know about my heart with this blog:
- I’m a broken human daily in need of God’s mercy and love.
- We all have a messy story. I want you to know that you are not alone in your journey, and I’m here to share mine with you.
- What I share is from my heart, a heart longing to be aligned with our Father’s heart.
- Authenticity is my goal. This is real talk, not a sugar-coated combination of words.
- And finally, I’m a midwest girl with a major sweet tooth!
This blog contains my thoughts, but I want this to be about you, too! Reach out on my “contact me” page and let me know what’s on your heart!
My prayer is that through this blog, I can share my stories in a way that you find hope, love and redemption in our Lord and Savior.
